Day one of the roadtrip!  Left the house in the Valley behind for the last time, and it was bittersweet.  Packed up the car (to the gills) and set out on the road at 7am.  Stopped for yummy brunch at the Coffee Cup Cafe in Boulder City Nevada (thanks, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives!)  I had the coconut waffles and VC had the pork chile verde omelet and well-done home fries.  Delicious!  We then went through beautiful Zion Nat'l Park, and the extra $25 for park entrance was well worth it.  Amazing views throughout as the surrealistic craggy landscape kept changing hues from reddish-bronze, to taupe, to sage green, and back again... depending on your elevation. After a long day of driving, we've landed in Grand Junction Colorado for the night.
